 Potty training...using treats?
I've been diligently working with Lulu on potty training since she came home 5 weeks ago (she's 19 weeks old now). I thought by now she'd show some progress. I bought Poochie bells to bell train her & we are working on that as well. My question is should I use treats to help reinforce the "potty outside"? Should I give her a small treat each time she potties outside? How can I get her to go to the door on her own when she needs to go out to potty?
I've read the potty training tips, etc. I keep Lulu confined in a playpen if I can't watch her closely. She doesn't potty inside the house a lot, but she doesn't really go to the door by herself either. I always just take her out to prevent an accident. I'm trying to set her up for success by not allowing the chance for accidents.
