I had the same problem with my pup whom I brought home at 7 weeks. 2.3 pounds. He refused to eat kibble after the first couple of days so I ended up trying three different food samples and finally settled on Natural Balance Ultra Premium dog food for puppies through adults mixed with canned Wellness for Puppy food. The natural Balance food has flat disc shaped kibbles which my puppy found easier to chew on and he just LOVES the canned food mixed with it. Given a choice, he'd probably lick the moist food off of the kibble but since he was so small, I monitored his feedings closely and actually coaxed him to eat the kibble too.
He's 11 weeks now and we have a vet checkup tomorrow. I'm waiting eagerly to find out how much he's gained in the past month.
