Bridget was a rescue - I filled out an application that had a LOT of questions - all which I thought were good question. How many animals I had (dogs/cats, etc) their sizes/ages/weight. How many people in the home (ages) - how would I react if she had behavioral issues - would I be willing to take her to a trainer - how long would she be left alone during the day - if I were to be away due to business/vacation/emergency - what would I do with her - have I ever surrendered an animal in the last 5 years (I think was the number) and a release for them to check my vet records. Most importantly was they insisted on her being spayed (she was only 12 weeks old when I got her), and I allowed them to follow up with my vet if they desired to be sure I was living up to my end of the promise. I lived too far away to do a home check or that would have been done also. I have to say that I was impressed that they put that much thought into the application - it showed that they will not let just anyone adopt their rescues. I had/have nothing to hide so I had/have no problem with it.
