oh my....I'm sorry to hear about Bailey's injury, thankfully he is okay now.
We use steps here and have from almost day one. Ruby is so tiny there is no way her bones could survive a jump from a couch or bed. I've got steps at the couch, loveseat, windows and bed, everyone here uses them. I think because each dog has seen the others use them, they naturally follow, even my foster dogs.
