 Short Haired Yorkies
We purchased a Yorkie from a breeder when he was about 6 weeks old. When we got him, I noticed he didn't have the full coat, but I was told that it sometimes takes a while for it to fully present itself. We know the parents were both long haired yorkies. Well, he never has gotten the full coat we were expecting, although it has grown in some. So, I began to do a search on short haired Yorkies and found that there is such a thing, although they aren't common and aren't "desirable" as far as breeders are concerned. They are often born to 2 long haired parents. Apparently, some breeders have bred these types of Yorkies. I have to say, he is unique looking, but adorable and we absolutely love him. Would trade him for all the long haired Yorkies in the world. But I was wondering if anyone else out there had a short haired Yorkie and could show me some pictures? |
