While I agree that having two pups together to keep each other company during the day is a good idea, I don't think it was a good idea to get a new one, a puppy in fact, at this point in your lives when she will be essentially left alone (without human supervision) for 12 hours every day. Not only is training going to be difficult at best, she may develop behaviour problems from lack of constant surveillance and training, which they need at this age.

Also, 9 weeks is a little early to take her home. Some don't think so, but I feel they learn so much from momma at this age, ie bite inhibition, sharing, etc. Again, it will hinder in her training. Anyway, you got her and she is home. Hoping for the best for you, just be prepared for some work. Always acknowledge and feed Max first. Everything is Max first, then Bella. Helps him to realize he is the big brother, and Bella should not be upset about that, as pups are used to having to share attention with their littermates anyway. Good luck.
