You should look into another premium brands such as royal canin, science diet, pro-plan , or if you prefer to go natural you can look at wellness, gold and a bunch of other better foods you can choose.
Unfortunately eukanuba is not the majority favorite food.

I like dry food for the same reason and with our shelties (notorious for tartar) that's a major reason. After the dog food scare a few years ago I switched to Dick Van Patten's Natural Balance. When we got our Yorkie, she had loose stools, soooo switched to (Dick Van Patten's) Natural Balance Limited ingredients sweet potato and venison, grain free, no byproducts etc.
There are other natural dry foods to choose from too. Petco is closest to me and they opened an aisle with new natural food brands.
It's best to read the ingredients. Byproducts are the crushed bone, garbage junk from processing the food, and you don't want that, so look out for that. You won't find byproduct in the natural foods - but always read the ingredients just to be on the safe side.
