The biggest problem I see with taking puppies to stores is many of the stores have adoption groups coming in. Like animal shelters and humane societies. Even though I know the groups try to be careful, I think there can still be a fairly high risk to your puppy. Heck, I adopted a kitten from a shelter and brought home a ringworm problem. All you'd need is someone handling one of the shelter animals then touching your baby. Just a thought for why you might want to be cautious.
