I have had a coolpix L18 for a little less than 2 years. In July of last year (at the YT meetup), the screen suddenly became distorted and it appeared to have water damage, though the camera had been working perfectly just seconds earlier and hadn't been exposed to water or any other potential dangers.

I just picked it up for the first time since it 'died' and it still takes pictures, but the screen remains distorted (I can't see the picture at all). I love this camera and would love to have it fixed if there is a way to do that. Is there any idea of what could actually be wrong with it?
