This really is an important topic and so glad you posted the question.
Piccolo choked on a rawhide bone a couple of years ago. I was very lucky that I was able to reach deep in her mouth/throat a pull it out, especially since no one else was home to help me. Very, very scary. If not, I guess I would have tried the dog Heimlich maneuver. That was also the very last day she was ever given rawhide to chew. I did not realize how dangerous these things could be. |
