Default Anyone know about dentists?

I'm taking Daisy for a consult on Tuesday to a board certified dentist. She cracked her 4th molar and it is loose and it likely must come out. However, as Daisy has many conditions including probable MVD, IBD, and severe allergies, we did routine blood work screening to see if she could have surgery, if surgery was recommended.

Daisy's blood work is horrible - her liver enzymes are worse than they have been since she was diagnosed as probable MVD. They were perfect 3 months ago, and nothing has changed. Her BATs that will be done early next week are expected to be elevated as well, and with her ALT where it is, I am guessing I'll get a post-prandial reading over 100 again.

Does anyone know if the tooth can be removed without putting the dog under? I am pretty sure that she can't have any preanesthetic drugs either - valium and the like are always out of the question for liver shunt dogs.

I'm sitting here wondering how they can treat her tooth - internist thinks it must come out.

Anyone been to a dentist and if so what do you know?
Thanks.
