I agree that every dog has his own personality - and it depends on that. I have a female yorkie and a few years ago was thinking of getting her a playmate. It happened to be XMAS time and my son got his girlfriend a female yorkie which was very hyper. My yorkie is very easy going - BUT, she wanted nothing to do with this new yorkie. We had her for a few days and it proved to me that my yorkie will not get along with another dog. But a few months ago we got a male yorkie, who is also very calm - and they get along great. So for us - it was best to get opposite sex dogs. |
