The problem is that he pounces on top of them, not understanding that he is much bigger than they are and can hurt them. My husband finally found work so the three dogs will be home alone a lot more. We have left them alone together for full days on several occasions without issue. My husband says they sleep most of the day. How do we train Falcon not to jump on my Yorkies? How have other Yorkie owners dealt with the issue of having a larger dog in the house?
Keep them separate at all times and especially when you are not home, the bigger dog can severely injure or kill a yorkie. Not meaning too, but they don't know better.
I have refused sales to people with young large dogs because of this. Too many yorkies have been crippled or killed in this scenario.
