I bought Bitsy when she was three years old, before I ever knew anything about yorkies, other than I wanted one, and she had a long tail. We already had Bentley and he had a short docked tail. I love Bitsy's tail and cannot imagine her without it....it's so prissy and she works it to her advantage
I would not hesitate, even now knowing a little more about yorkies, to buy a pup with a long tail...but certainly understand that if I or anyone else bought one for showing would have to opt for the docked tail.
