Default Injured Paw2

I am posting this in my own tread because I would love to hear advice on this. I have ordered a harness from Chattiesmom and and anxiously awaiting!!!

Celine is a spaz walker, she just doesn't walk well. I have been trying to get her out their walking with me. She wears a harness of course. I was trying to make her heel at the same time. I didn't go far because she acts like it is killing her and she hasn't got the idea. I notice that her front paws were up quite a bit and she was using her back ones to walk. I let her go at her pace, brought her back in the house then just kind of went around doing my business. I didn't notice anything different about Celine. The next day my daughter called me at work and said "there is something wrong with Celines back leg, she is limping and doesn't want to eat" I came home because anytime she isn't feeling right I can't work. It was her back right leg and I felt down the leg and she seemed fine with it but when I got to her pad she freaked out. I had my daughter hold her so I could look at them closely. Well in the pad of her back paw was what looked like a piece missing out of it. The other leg pad had a scrape too nothing major. I called the vet and asked what I could do or put on it. She told me that there really wasn't something to put on it but to try to keep her from licking and watch for infection. I had a tiny snow sock from last year and put it on her. It has been 4 days now and I only see her favor it now and then. I am sure it was the walk and possibly the way I was trying to make her heel. Now I worry she will never want to walk again. Any suggestions? My other dogs did fine and no paw problems.
