Lol, yes I know. Petfinder can be lethal. I have a few favorite breeders saved to my bookmarks, not just Yorkies either, so I think it will be good for me to wait a year, really research a breed and breeder, etc.

We had already discussed getting another dog after Carmen (their dog) passed away last summer. My mom considered it, but really didn't have time for another puppy, and she works sooo much now with owning a hair salon, it'd be impossible. We looked at a few older rescues but my mom decided against it, simply because she didn't have the time and she's not the biggest dog person in the world anyways, as much as she loved Carmen. That would be ideal... them getting a dog so Jackson has a buddy but when I'm traveling, visiting family members homes, etc, Jackson would be only responsibility. But I doubt it will happen.

Thanks for all your posts in this thread, every one of you helped me out. I dunno why this decision was so hard but I definitely made the right one.

Here's Carmen and my stepdad... She was only 4yrs old
