The link here is for new puppy owners and it is a "stickie" in this forum. Look to the top of the page on this forum for other good information stickies.
There are a lot of things you want to know, but start there.
First Welcome to Yorkie Talk.
Tell us a bit about how old your puppy will be once you pick them up? Your breeder should send you home with a complete puppy pack, that includes all sorts of helpful information. talk to your breeder to as well as here, to ask for her/his suggestions on what you should have ready at home for your puppy.
For example is your pup pee pad trained? outdoor trained? Kind of food the breeder feeds? How much will your puppy weigh when you pick up? Vet records should be coming in the puppy pack.
It is a lot to take in all at once. Do make sure you have a vet appt set up, for him/her to examine your dog within 48=72 hours after purchase.
Make sure
before you finalize your purchase that you know that the parents have been tested for various genetic tests. Some of these are; BATS, CERF, OFA on hips, elbows, and knees, heart and thryoid.
Get a copy of the health guarantee now and make sure you understand the guarantee.
A very good saying is you "buy" your breeder first then your puppy.
There is a wealth of information here. Any many folks to help you out with your questions and concerns. The YT library is also a great source of information on this breed.
ONce more welcome, you've come to the right place to learn all about the Yorkie Breed.
