 Need advice with walking
Need help with leash training. I have Madison trained with drop it, lay down, sit, stay (still working on this one, but she's doing pretty good). When we go for a walk, she listens to NOTHING I say!!! I have taken treats along, she doesn't care, she is food motivated, but when she is excited she could care less. When she starts pulling I stop and she will sit there like a good girl, as soon as I start to move she starts pulling again. I will turn and go the other way, she does not seem to care and just starts charging forward, so the back and forth thing doesn't work either. I let her out in our fenced in yard for a few minutes to run around and get rid of some energy before walks. I just don't know what else to do. I really dislike taking her for walks, that I don't do it much anymore. Any suggestions? Thanks!! |
