I wanted to add.... Jackson had been SUPER easy to train. Keep in mind, he was my first dog besides family dogs, I was 18yrs old, and knew next to nothing about dog training. I sat down with him, at 9 weeks old, and decided I probably should teach him a basic 'sit' since every dog knows sit, right?... and when he learned it perfectly within 5 minutes, I got hooked. I realized how incredibly smart he was and by 5 months old, he was playing dead, rolling over, high-five, and the other basic commands. He just loves to learn and always has.

Now, at almost 2 years old, he knows over 30 tricks and is constantly learning new things. I wouldn't say he's stubborn, but he typically won't do tricks without treats, unless he is really excited and hyped up about something else, like a new toy or something. But usually toys don't motivate him. I began using the clicker a few months ago and it's been amazing. He's learned double the amount of tricks in a span of a few months than he did in his first year, if that makes sense. Rather than taking 20-25 repetitions for example, he now usually picks up what I want within 10-15 repetitions.

I have been trying to find a good agility class around here. I've found a few... I pretty much just want to do it for fun to start. They're all pretty expensive so I've been waiting til a better time financially. The one here is $165 for 8 weeks and it's not even for competition, it specifically says just to learn and for fun.
