She welcomes everyone to come and check out all the puppies and their homes and she obviously takes the puppies out because in all the pics that i received she is outside in a flowerbed or running around in her fenced in backyard! Looks like a happy puppy to be and not being torchered and forgoten like a puppy mill puppy. And just because you found stuff online doesn't mean that its true you should know that and who knows how long ago some of that stuff is about the pet stores! She reassured me about everything and she even had pics of all the kennels adn when i looked at google maps the same 2 buildings were there making me believe that the pics aren't fake. Some of you may think shes a puppy mill but you don't have the right to judge people without all the facts she may just be a big dog breeder who loves what shes doing! wouldn't you love to have that many puppies running around as long as you knew they were all taken care of and loved which they are?! All these pups are very happy and the reviews of her kennel are amazing so don't judge a book by it's cover because you don't have all the facts and are just assuming because i have all i need to know about her and tha'ts good enough for me! i understand why you guys are doing what your doing and i completly agree and thank you for all your determination and caring but shes not a puppy mill and i don't think that for MANY reasons i looked up day and night researching puppy mill info and that is totally not what her kennel is!!!! puppy mill pupys get abused and hurt and are treated with no respect and are almost always under no right conditions of living unlike the climate controlled facilities that she has and not to mention how well kept and clean they are!!! but thanks for all that info and i hope by reading this some people out there will know what to look for and that its not just a breeder with a ton of puppies even of that is a little turning off it doesn't have anything to do with being a puppy mill or not! |
I think you are missing the point. Everything that you describe in this one post I'm quoting is exactly what everyone is trying to warn you about. EVERY little thing you described in your post shoots the biggest red warning flags any responsible pet owner needs to stay away from. You may not believe us now, but in time you'll come to understand why. We warn from experience, not because we're trying to bad mouth someone behind their backs in cyberspace. I could care less about the breeder. I care about the risk you are taking with a potential new family member.
The fact that your new baby may be a mixed breed isn't making or breaking this breeder for me. That is a very minor fact. Everything else you are describing about their breeding ETHICS and practices is what make most of the YTers want to cringe. Do you really want a to have a puppy whose parents are condemned to suffer a life of being nothing but baby making machines? Who, by the way will not help you when times get tough as even a tripod dog, a dog with liver shunt, LP, or any other number of diseases can and will still be an awesome pet? Do you see why this breeders claim to exchange (or is it refund?) a dog that can no longer serve as a "pet" is such a broad statement to protect the breeder from any fault?
Personally, after reading on this forum that is made of other yorkie, morkie, or any other breed of dog, moms and dad that share their personal experience, I choose to not make the same mistake I made and my fellow members made. Why even go there when there is a better option? You can get a quality pet from a magnificent breeder if you just do your homework and know what to look for. #1 thing is someone who stands behind their breeding. That means, 2 yrs or 7 or 10 yrs after purchasing the pup, the breeder still has contact with you and is willing to lend a hand in helping you when your pup takes a turn for the worse. After finding an awesome person, then you find the awesome dog. Someone who has the time to take of the bitch and puppies him or herself in their home, who knows the dogs ancestry for at least 3 generations, and has them in their home. Your puppy is going to be in your home, so shouldn't it start out that way? Shouldn't they learn what living in a home is at an early age?
