She's laying there with her mouth open and she looks like she is gasping for air. I can't get her to nurse right now...he said that would be the BEST thing for her (to nurse) to get her strength up. PLEASE, somebody...any suggestions on what I can do to help the little thing? My heart is breaking..........Thanks so very much & again I apologize if I'm in the wrong section, but I was hoping someone had been thru this and knew what to do. Thanks again & God bless.
The last pup I had was also having a hard time breathing, and at 3 days old I took her to the vet and she had a respatory problem that they said could turn into pneumonia. They also gave an injection and gave me amoxicillin to give her, but she did nurse. There really is not much that can be done with one so young and small. They need to be mothered and kept warm. Why didn't your vet show you how to tube feed, if she was having a hard time eating. My little girl did make it through the illness.
