I believe in keeping the pup comfortable and clean (yes, you are going to be doing laundry). What I believe in is keeping them in a confined area, such as an x-pen. Being consistent. I see you live in IN. With the winter coming on, training him on the Pee Pad will be beneficial and then training him to the outside potting.
