Hi and welcome to YT.
I have had my pup for 7 weeks now and my older dog (shes 13) is still adjusting.
At first my older dog wouldnt even sit in the same room as the pup but things are slowly getting better, she too is very needy.
You just have to give them time and make sure your older dog gets plenty of attention so they dont feel pushed out or replaced.
Make sure you always greet the older dog first when you come home and feed them first... dont worry it will take time but they do come round in the end.
