Years ago in the other home I had, it became infested with fleas. I had all the dogs and cats at the groomers and on that same day used containers of bombs...it is a kind of spray can that when you push the top like a spray can it starts to release its spray and you have to leave the room you're in as each is dispensing its contents. The nozzle stays depressed on its own. I had one in each room.
This worked for me for fleas...I don't know about roaches. Can't stand those things...I had them in my first apartment and it drove me crazy. But these cans did the trick for me and no more fleas.
Forgot to mention that you need to be out of the house for a certain amount of hours before returning....no animals can be inside at all.
