I know quite a few people who have the car seat that you are describing and they really like it. The one we have costs more( I think )because it is set up more like a baby's front facing car seat and hooks into the seatbelt. I'm glad you like your carseat and that your Sprocket is safe in the car. Another reason to have dogs in car seats or seat belts is bc if you have an accident and your dog isn't restrained he could easily run out of the car if you are hurt and someone helps you out of the car. I have tragic stori es about dogs who were not hurt in the accident but were hit running out of the car bc they were frightened.
