This has happened to many people...I did it years ago to one of mine. The best way to deal with mats is to put a comb under them (between the mat and the skin) before cutting. You can also put powder on them before brushing...that will sometimes help.

Thanks! I checked her wound today and it looks OK. The skin care seal that I put really sealed it, so I hope she will be fine. I cut her hair again today, now with my fingers on her skin and she doesnt have scissors fear so I am happy!
