My dogs love going to the groomers - which is usually the opposite. Most dogs get very nervous - both at the vet and at the groomers. But, I have found a groomer that does not cage the dogs. She actually has a lot of little rooms, which she closes off with half (barn type) doors - so she can keep an eye on them. The rooms have TVs, play toys and little couches. The dogs get to interact with other dogs too, which is a lot of fun for them. The groomer has her work station up front - so you can see her working on your dog if you want to. But yes, - you have to be very very specific with what you want - ears, butt area, nails, brushing teeth, etc. I'm sure your dog will be fine. I know its always hard when you leave them. Good luck. |
