Yikes. But I have to do something; Lucy is used to going out and running around several times a day; she enjoyes that as much as her walk and it kept her from going inside.

I know the feeling. Our family room is carpet, and I'm OCD to a certain extent (already shampooed the carpet twice from a few accidents), and Khloe can fit through the fence that we have. Fencing is so expensive, my goodness! My fiance's son came over last night and Khloe played super hard, so she was very easy to put in her crate last night. She didn't even wake up until I turned on the kitchen light. How's Ringo doing? I didn't realize that Lucy is still a puppy, is she? Puppies are very consuming; on carpet particularly, I watch her like a hawk. (:
