It definitely takes time. You have to be watching her at all times when she is out. When she goes on the pads, of course lots and lots of praise. Treats are good too (at least they worked for me). Reprimand her when you catch her doing it where she is not suppose to. Never punish her if you find it but don't see her doing it - and never never hit. Yorkies really do have to be at least 4 months old before you can begin to see any results. My little Coco was fully pee pad trained by the time she was 8 months old. I am now working with our new little boy. He is 7 months old and I think it will take a lot longer for him. He too will not poop in front of me. So it has been a little more difficult - but I think he will eventually get it. We will see. You have to be consistent because once they get familiar with pooping all over - then that is what they are remembering. Good luck to you - and for that matter - to me too - LOL!
