I would encourage you to try a Kong Wubba. It's super sturdy and squeaks. Other interactive toys my dogs like are:

Busy Buddy Bones (the gnawhide refills are reasonably priced)
Busy Buddy Twist n Treat
Kongs - I buy the kong inserts, or put pretty much any little treat in there that will fit and they work to get it out.
Kong Wubbas - they squeak and are DURABLE...we play tug of war with that toy too
Everlasting Treat Balls (the refills are pretty expensive though)

We also love ropes to play tug of war but I don't leave those out when we're not home. Good luck in your search!
