However, the AKC standard for a good representation for a Yorkie never said tiny. Anything under 7 lbs., and most show dogs are between 4 and 5 lbs. Most reputable breeders would take a tiny puppy and find it a good home or keep it themselves to ensure it was well taken care of. And most reputable breeders put so much money into their dogs since they are passionate about improving the breed that they don't even make a profit; most end up spending more than what they make IMO.
