I haven't spay/neutered at less than six months. I often don't worry about finding a pet home until over six months anyway so will have my Vet spay/neuter before it goes to a new home.
For those less than six months, on the rare occasion I am letting it go to a new home before 6 mos, it is not spayed or neutered. I have a non breeding contract, new owner is either known to me because they have been referred and is a friend/relative of someone I know. If it is someone who found me by other means, they are interviewed and I check them out first. I also do not ship, new owners live in my area. If I have any doubts, I won't sell it to that person.
