My first male and female adult dogs when I got them they chopped it to a nub. I hate it, never no when they are happy can not see the tail wag. My pups when I have had them done I left longer size of a penny, where it starts thinning out on the tail. Soon I hope I never have to hurt another pup again. I hope I get a great response with leaving the tail not hoping for no one calling because I left it alone. Only time will tell. If it goes good I might never have tails done again. And that would make me happy.!
