YOU HAVE A CHOICE?
From the day Sprocket came to our home, he came to sleep with me/us. Where ever I am, if I'm working late in the office, he sleeps there til I go to bed. Where ever I am, that's where he is, he may snuggle with DH, but doesn't stay. You will get used to your baby being in your bed, being aware, one thing that might help. When Sprocket first came to our house, about 11pm or midnight I would put him out to the back yard, (it's enclosed), I would hide so he couldn't see me and want in and he would go pee. He would then come back to the door to come in, get treats and praise. Then when DH gets up for work about 5am same routine. Treats and praise, treats and praise. The schedule and time. It sure has worked for us. Treats and praise works for retaining ALL sorts of old dogs
