I'm switching Harley at the end of the month, he'll be about 10 months. My breeder told me around 8-10 months is a good time to switch.

I'm not a big fan of Royal Canin, not sure what it costs in the US, but up here it was royally expensive. I switched to Now! which has much better ingredients and I found that it was actually cheaper to buy. I guess it depends on your stores as well. The store I buy my food from has a loyalty program, so the food itself is better priced plus I get every 11th bag free which is wonderful! If you're open to switching I'd have a look around, you may find something that is much better for your baby, that is cheaper. In my experience going to a specialty shop if there is one around usually gets you better information, the store I buy from was amazing in helping me choose food for Harley, they walked me through the labels of each brand and we picked the one that seemed best for him specifically. Goodluck.
