I wouldnt want to leave any dog in a crate alone for 8 hours.. I dont think its fair, espeically if he isn't used to staying in there for long periods of time.
How old is Buddy? Is there nobody who can look after him at home?
Or do you have a play pen? anything would be better then leaving him in a crate all day.
