The shelter did call them they just never came to claim him
They give them 10 days to come in and if they don't they put them up for adoption. I would imagine if they werent from the area they would at least phone the shelter back and make arrangements. MY friends mom has been in contact with the shelter and they told her the owners still have had no contact with them... tomorrow he will be available (the 17th)...
