I had this problem too when we got Max and Minnie. They were emaciated so I thought they had to in order to stay alive and it became a habit. But even when they got free fed and could eat as much as they wanted they didn't stop until I switched the food to Orijen. Since then they also stopped eating dirt... Imagine how much I like this food even if I have to pick up much more poop now...LOL! I was always on the run to catch any poop before they could get a hold of it...
