I skimmed most of the posts so I'm not sure if anything I'm about to write has been said. Zoey hated the water, but loves it now. To restrain her at her first I got bathing tethers (suction cup restraints) so she wouldn't thrash about and they worked great. I would recommend getting a pair to use for bathing and blow drying, since they leave both your hands free and keeps your dog in one place. I don't blow dry Zoey, but towel dry her with a microfiber towel and then put down another towel on the bathroom floor so she can roll and dry herself off on it. She's usually completely dry after 10 minutes out of the tub. She also use to hate to be brushed and would bite the brushes and run off with them in her mouth. I find brushing her and giving her a bath at night when she's tired works best. After her bath I get her up on my lap when I know she's tired and then brush her, she doesn't fight it, and it also puts her right to bed.
