I'm doing a mixture of a little bit of Natural Balance and homemade boiled chicken, carrots, and peas. I love Natural Balance because it doesn't contain fillers, and I hate to hear about this recall. I try to mix a little bit of dog food to ensure she is getting the essential nutrients formulated for dogs, but I'm so tired of even the reputable brands having recalls. Please keep threading and please keep me updated if any more recalls happen on this. Khloe doesn't eat the Sweet Potato and Chicken (thank goodness). Does Natural Balance have a site where they will publicly announce up to the minute recalls when they happen? I bet not, but is there a second source site that follows recalls on dog food fairly close?
In Natural Balance's defense, I want to be loyal to the company because thus far, it has been the only food that has eliminated Khloe's tear stains. Fillers in dog food is the #1 culprit for tear stains (or at least that is what I was told, and it must be true because it helped Khloe, even with her teething).
