My dogs get the vet care they need, my male has dermatitis, so he has to get anti-inflammatory shots. I have some experience with delivering kittens, I had a complication with my cat, and had to step in and get the kitten out for her. I was prepared on what to do with my yorkie, incase I needed to step in and do anything but she did really well on her own. I do think my cousin would help if something serious happened, otherwise I can tend to their needs, I'll be able to get their shots when they need them, I am not going to ask her to help me with stuff like that. I manage it okay. I stay with my daughter's dad so he would help out too if something serious happened. We would not let anything bad happen. I have an autoimmune disease and don't function well so I can't work, and my income is low, but my dogs always get the care they need. I think I will start a savings fund though incase needed for them, that way I won't have to rely on someone else, incase something was to happen. |
I think a savings fund is a good idea, in fact a great idea. Breeding dogs in the right way is not a cheap proposition. You of course know that, as you have done all the prebreeding tests necessary, and the genetic tests.
Of course if you decide to sell these pups, you are prepared to offer a full health guarantee, should they have any genetic diseases. You'll need to set aside money for that too.
What I wonder is, why did you breed your bitch at less than one year old?
You do realize of course that this was putting your female at a whole lot of risk.
Im glad your pups are healthy and hope that everything goes smoothly for you.
