I am thinking the reason they go in the house, is because they are allowed to go in the basement (which is still part of "inside" as opposed to outside
They may be a bit confused by that.
If you use diapers, , it won't really teach them not to go in the house (jmo) and you'll just have to change dirty diapers a lot.
Do you have any place in the house you could make into a small potty area? Like a corner of a bathroom, etc where it would be easy to train to a pad/box?
