You might want to take a look at a very recent post (today) in the General Forum, about Morkies.

And I'm sorry to say bad health issues do not get "cut" out when breeding, they can get re-inforced, or you can get lucky. How-ever there are no reliable, in fact there are no statistics that show "mutts" are healthier than purebreds. In fact that is a common statement, which has no basis in valid research.
