In the Yorkie Library there is an article /stickie called Vaccinations ... Jean Dodd, it talks about the best protocol around vaccinations. Print it out and bring to your vet.
I'm not sure how old your pup is but at 16wks old it is recommended that they have a BAT test done, and then again at 6mths old. This will help to show if there is a problem with the liver - as you know Liver Shunt is one of the health risks associated with Yorkies.
So ask your vet how familiar he is with this test, Dr Jean Dodd also has full explanation on the proper way to do the test.
I know it seems like a lot, but just add this to your list when you go.
As you live in a very rural area, consider if you haven't already preparing a first aid kit for your dog ( again here on Yorkie Talk there is a stickie on that).
You probably know best what types of critters you have out there, but with our small Yorkies, we need to be vigilant, birds of prey, coyotes, even raccoons, can kill and or damage seriously our dogs. There are posts are here about just those things.
Finally but certainly not least congrats on your new pup
