I had a little Shih Tuz -- Zoey -- that jumped off the balcony of our house.
She landed on the drive way. We think she was trying to get to my husband (who was the love of her life). She screamed for about 30 mins... all the way to the ER. She was fine, bruised
So... I do understand how you felt. Zoey was about 3 lbs at the time - after that I got a play pen for her when I could not watch her.
