Both of mine pooped in their crates too. When Ally was little, we used to put her in it when we left the house. She got so upset, she would bounce the little kennel across the floor. It was full of runny poop too. For months we kept her downstairs at night also. We always wondered, as we walked down the stairs in the morning, if she left us a little surprise in her kennel...which she did most of the time. At the time, I had one other dog, 12 year old pek. As soon as we moved Ally's kennel upstairs at night and locked her in the family room with my pek when we left the house...everything stopped. Nothing at all any more. She was lonely, especially in the kennel. She needed to hear me breathing at night and the company of our other dog when we were gone. The same has worked for my other pup too. Good luck, your baby will get it.
