I like looking at petfinder, humane society, no kill shelters, etc, but with 3 dogs, 4 cats (and a roomba which I highly recommend to keep the house not looking like a zoo), I can't as much as I would love to get another pet, it just wouldn't be fair. Everytime I drive by the park on my way home, nothing makes me smile more than a dog wagging his/her tail, tongue hanging out with that "happy walk"!!
My daughter and I both volunteered at a no kill shelter last summer, and despite the sweaty work, it was one of the most rewarding things I have ever done.
The people at these shelters/adoption agencies really have the animals best interest at heart.
Here's too all who adopt these animals and give them a forever home!!!
