What you can do is get the freeze dried raw feed. It comes in the medallian shape and they are in a bag and fine. No need to freeze or refrigerate.

You can feed them just like they are (I break mine up into shreds and put it on top of their kibble) or you can add water and it become a soft food.

I didn't realize this either until I recently started to use Stella and Chewy's. The other neat thing is my Pet Value started selling 100% dried fruits and veggies. They are called Garcie's Garden and they come in apple, banana, carrot, and sweet potatoe. My three LOVE the apple slices! I use these now as a treat rather than the other treat options that are out there for dogs.
