Default Dehydrator

I bought a dehydrator and make my own chicken jerky. You can add your own spice, even change it up each time. It is much better for the little ones. I did a test before. If you put the store-bought jerky in water overnight, nothing changes. But if you put home-made (dehydrated) jerky in water overnight, the jerky puffs back into chicken strips.

The only thing is that they don't last very long. You will have to refrigerate them. Great in summer but in winter need thaw out first. But this tells me that the store bought ones have preservatives. Some of them said no preservatives but they still last so long....wonders why.
