The neurotic fur motherness may be a blessing 7+ years from now when boys start showing up! I used to be like that with my horses, and I'm pretty sure I told my first boyfriend if my horse didn't like him I was going to dumb him!

It sounds like your baby is growing up and learning lots about responsibility. When I was that age I wanted a horse, and my mother got me one if I paid for half of it. She used this whole thing to teach me to care for animals, how to raise money to pay for things and A LOT about responsibility.

Speaking from experience I hated my mom at the time for making me take on a lot of responsibility, but I've been a very successful young entrepreneur ever since! it's taught me a lot of useful things and while my mother annoyed me when I was younger (but then again who's doesn't) She did teach me a lot of valuable lessons.

It sounds like you have a wonderful daughter, I recommend using Paris to teach her alot about responsibility, she will thank you later. It also sounds like this is one of the exceptions where a puppy for a young person is a GREAT idea!
